How it works
Terramycin limits the formation of bacterial cell wall. This allows the immune system to eliminate the bacteria easily. Guidelines for usage Follow the dosage instructions provided by your doctor or as mentioned in the instruction booklet/product label. Always use only as prescribed. Never exceed the dosage. Terramycin may be used with or without food. If you are using the ointment or the liquid suspension, then measure your doses with a measuring glass. Doctors recommend that you swallow the whole tablet/capsules with a glass of water unless it is specified that it can be broken or chewed. NOTE: Use only if prescribed to you and intended for your use. Do not share with others. Missed Dose It is common for people to forget their dosage times and miss doses. How & where do I store Terramycin? The medicine label contains detailed instructions regarding safe storage of the medication. It will not be effective against viral infections like cough and cold. Antibiotic treatment must be monitored closely by doctors because prolonged treatment increases the resistance of the bacteria against Terramycin. A future bacterial infection becomes severe and difficult to treat. Some patients experience a persistent diarrhea, abdominal or stomach pain/cramping, or blood/mucus in their stool. Contact your doctor immediately if this happens. Elderly people are more likely to experience side effects while using Terramycin. If the side effects are bothersome, then seek medical help. Important Information for Pregnant Women Terramycin is categorized under FDA pregnancy category D. It can cause severe damage to the unborn fetus. Side Effects
Report the following side effects to your doctor only if they become bothersome or do not stop on their own Black hairy tongue, blurred vision, bulky loose stools, diarrhea, difficulty swallowing, fever, headache, hives, hoarseness, indigestion, inflammation or redness of tongue, joint pain, loss of appetite, mouth sores, nausea, rash, sensitivity to sunlight, sore throat, stomach pain, swelling and itching of the rectum. The following side effects require immediate medical attention. So report these to your doctor immediately. Severe allergic reactions (rash, hives, itching, difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue), infection (fever, chills, sore throat), itching, nausea, severe skin reaction to the sun, vaginal irritation or discharge and vomiting |
